Here is a real thing that happened earlier this month
when [info]daphaknee went to Fanime Con:

Some Girl: HEY ARE YOU OH DAPHNY FROM THE INTERNET??

Daphny: yeah

SG: OH! I LOVE YOUR BOYFRIEND'S CARTOONS!

Daphny: asgjksadfjkdsjfdskjfa

                       Design for Daphy's tooth tattoo

Ha ha. I wonder how people get the impression Daphny is my girlfriend? Is it, by chance, because 4 out of every 5 drawings I post to this livejournal seem to be related to her in some way

By the by, here is a drawing I did for Daphny's birthday:

In case you are building a fact file Daphny's boyfriend is [info]bitterchris  on livejournal, go stalk him

Sometimes I do drawings that don't have to do with Daphny. Look! I also did an illustration this month for Game Developer Magazine. It's a picture of a stereotypical game developer chopping down a 'file tree', to illustrate how thrilling and rewarding it can be to maximize efficiency in the workplace by streamlining your filing systems. The character with the axe is based on my friend Owen aka [info]elfshotthefood .

Supposedly Heather Campbell did a little writeup about something I'd done in the American Play Magazine this month, too, but so far I haven't been able to see a copy... can anyone find my thing in it and scan it for me?

This is the logo I did for the Moos Family's Race To Raise The Roof which I've mentioned on here a few times. If you don't already know about it, read this article about it in the Philidelphia Enquirer here, and then join the Facebook group here, donate money here, and buy limited edition Queen of Dorks  fundraiser jewellery here.

I guess it looks like there is enough demand for me to start making merchandise and junk and at least be able to make my money back on the printing, so expect news on that front soon. Hey I think I am going to do a group activity tomorrow, I hope ya'll are ready

Sketched during a meeting, finished at home.

Who can tell me who this is?

Starmen.net love me now.

A little kid drew this for me.

This man has DUDE-A-TUDE.

Here's my band I'm starting up, THE UNITARDS.

Here's our rival band, ASSHOLES (The Leotards).

Class materials.

Self-explanatory.

I experimented with making a CHARACTER GENERATOR.

I'll be honest: I don't remember a whole lot of what was said at this this meeting.

I have about 20 eric stories you guys are yet to see.

19th-Apr-2006 01:22 am - New Mother 3 Screenshot leaked
Jakim Al Taff
A new Mother 3 screenshot has been leaked a day before the game's official release!

If you want to know who leaked it, the clue is in the favorite food the player picked. Study the screenshot carefully!

THAT'S RIGHT WHO WANTS TO FUCKING TOUCH ME

Admittedly I haven't gotten all that far with it since it's in a language I don't understand. I can report that the music is very good, though. The game is technologically more advanced than Mother 2, the characters have four frames of animation in their walk cycles rather than 2! Oh and you can run now. You even have a run attack, which I used to [spoiler] punch a dinosaur [end spoiler].

Presentationally and control-wise it is quite a jump from Mother 2, even though you can't tell from the screenshots. It's something akin to the refinement you notice when you compare the old Gameboy Pokemon games to the GBA versions. Really I can't report all that much, since I only played the first 10 minutes before I decided I didn't want to spoil it for myself. First impressions are great though.

I would never have guessed when I woke up this morning was that I would be playing Mother 3 that very night! It felt like all my birthdays and Christmasses had come at once! Well, for about a minute.

I'm sure someone is probably working on a fan translation at this very moment, so it shouldn't be too long a wait to play the game properly. Enough time for me to play through Mother 1, anyway, which I can finally do since I worked out how to do fast-forward on my NES emulator.
